JUVENILE TREATMENT OUTCOME

The Juvenile Treatment Outcome is a troubled youth (male and female) counseling or treatment "effectiveness" or "outcome" assessment instrument or test. The same test is administered twice, consequently juvenile history (court and treatment) is kept to a minimum. The pretest (intake, before treatment) becomes the baseline that the posttest (after treatment) is compared to. Computer software compares pretest (intake) with posttest (after treatment) scores and prints a "Comparison Report."

The Juvenile Treatment Outcome has 163 items, takes 35 to 40 minutes to complete and has twelve scales (measures):

1. Truthfulness Scale
2. Outlook
3. Self-Esteem
4. Adjustment
5. Anxiety
6. Depression
 7. Suicide
 8. Control
 9. Alcohol
10. Drugs
11. Violence
12. Stress Coping Abilities
